How can I make a dinner party? What kind of food should I bake?

The secret to a good dinner party is good conversation, drinks, and guests that are comfortable.  You should make something that gives you time with your guests.  Pasta is always good because all you need is a good salad, bread, and wine.  Your sauce can be homemade in advance (either white or red) - or the prepared kinds are very good - just dump it in a pan and heat up.

Have a simple desert - fruit is always good - and coffee/tea.
