Question:

Advice on how to move back to my home province

I moved across the country three years ago to be with my boyfriend. We broke up last year and I've stayed here trying to make the best of it. I've tried to like it here but I miss my family too much, and all my friends that I left behind.

I want to make the move back out west, but don't know where to start. I need to find a job and an apartment, but where do I begin? Will someone actually hire me from across the country? I can't stay with family because they all live in my small hometown and that's not where I'm planning on moving. All my friends are married or live with roommates so I can't stay with them until I find my own place.

Has anyone ever made a move like this? Any advice would be appreciated. (I know this isn't in the right category but I wanted some mature advice)

  1. join the Army!

  2. I haven't done this, but I know plenty of people who have. Just start looking for a job now and see if something comes up, but still make plans to move back. Save up as much money as you can so you can afford the move as well as a security deposit on an apartment and support yourselve for a few months if you're not able to find employment right away.

Honestly the saying "There's no place like home" is so true, and I don't blame you at all for wanting to go back home where your family is!

    Good luck!
