  1. Kia Ora!

I think you should come to NZ. I've travelled all around the world and absolutly love NZ. I have made it my home, and can recommend it! :P Travel around first and see what you think of Australia and New Zealand for a year...you'll have a great time and get an idea of what place is best for you. Talk to people while here about the professions that you're after and see what feels best.

Buying a house is expensive anywhere, unfortunatly NZ is no different. But, renting is a definate option. You can get a great house (with the security of a contract you can often live in it for as long as you need after talking to the owner) without a mortgage to pay etc.

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do. I hope it does include travelling around NZ, it's an awesome place :)

  3. Travelling is a great experience. You will never tire of seeing something new, trying different foods, meeting people from all walks of life and cultures.

You will have times when you have to cope with something you may not have to do if you just stay at home. But if you travel now, once you settle you will find you have some great life experiences to look back on and give you a boost when times may be a little tough.

You will certainly grow as a person.

New Zealand and Australia would be relatively easy countries to travel around as the culture is not too different from what you are used to. But it is different! NZ is a very beautiful country.Have a look at my site here for some ideas. http://www.holidays-in-newzealand.com

Australia too has many beautiful things to see and do, and is very different from New Zealand scenically.

As a nurse as long as you register before you come and get all the paperwork and visas etc sorted there is plenty of work!

Check here for immigration visa requirements.

Good luck and do try some travel. Warning - it becomes a bit addictive!

  4. You will just love New Zealand!  There is soo much to see and do! It has great winter sports and activities and things to do all summer long -  plus absolutely gorgeous beaches and towns with lots of activities through the summer months.....Our relatives from Wales used our NZ travel agent to book their trip as it worked out much cheaper with the exchange rate....so it would be worth checking out the website below...they can also look after you while in NZ...happy travelling :)

It's also really cheap to hop across to Australia for holidays, which most of us Kiwis do...

  5. taranga got big hospital at least for nz....nurses get treated better than here...my son dr there....i would think sports science degree be great over there....i found travel abit dire but once you get use to way they run bus service it not so bad ..you fly most places out there or buy car...if you can't drive the driving test dead easy ...my son and wife in 20s and went for same reasons as you, they having a blast, when i speak to him he either surfing barbi on beach sky diving etc...but it not cheap place if you are working and rely on that money down side  food is naff,....my son thinks 1or2 years is enough, and what surprized me contary to what they say racism exist out there...living conditions are good and cheap compared to here and for what you get...my son stays in a complex got swiming pool tubs etc...i think you got take out 23 month working visa or certainly prove you can surport yourselves...hope you enjoy

  6. Travelling is definetly all its cracked up to be, and by including NZ in your travels you definetly will not be dissapointed.

The great thing about traveling is you really get an idea of what it is that you want from life. I've travelled quite a bit and after getting back home to NZ i knew that its the place i want to be for the rest of my life, to raise my children etc. Sure New York and London were fun places to visit but big, over crowded city living, miles away from beaches and mountains isn't what i'm after.

There is a shortage of Nurses in both NZ and Australia so you would get a job no problem.

    check out http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-me-proper...

to give you an idea of how much it would cost you to rent a place in NZ. You might consider basing yourself in either Auckland (biggest city, north island) Wellington (capital city bottom of the North island) or Christchurch (2nd biggest city in NZ, in the south island) for 6-9 months and then travel the rest of the time.

NZ is an amazing country and theres so much to see and do!

things not to miss include Rotorua (renowned for its thermal activity, geysers etc) Queenstown (known as the adventure capital of the world) milford sound (the most amazing place on earth) the bay of islands and coromandel oh and so much more!

Good luck with planning your future travels :-)

  7. See if there is an expo in your area coming up about living and working in NZ or Australia

    http://expo-australia.com

    http://expo-newzealand.com

Nurses are a skilled shortage in both countries and won't have a problem getting a job!

In fact at these expos they have immigration there to answer all your questions and to help you through the process, also job offers are made for the skilled shortage and visas are processed quicker than normal.

    Good Luck
