Advice on sorting out clothes

I am sorting out clothes and getting rid of some. I have too many. I have 33 pair of jeans and about 40 pairs of shoes. And around 2 tubs full of shirts. Got any tips. I'm going to give the ones I don't wear to goodwill. I am just sick of moving 4-5 tubs just of clothes when I move. LOL. my boyfriend and I both are college students, he has just as many as me, but he is a packrat and most likely won't get rid of any. LOL.

  1. First order, quick sort, get rid of stuff that doesn't fit or you won't or haven't worn.  (Pile for keep, pile for get rid of it.)

Then, if there is still many left, look at style and when was the last time you wore it, if you haven't worn it in the last 6 months, you really don't like it or didn't know where it was so decision to keep or get rid of.

Keep adding criteria to why to keep until you have a managable sized pile of clothes.
