Advice on wording for a tattoo?

Hi all,

I'm getting a tattoo of a sunrise, with words from a mythological story. The original story was written in Latin, and I can't decide if I should get the words in english or in latin. If I get them in Latin no one will be able to read them, and since it's like two sentences, I don't really want to recite them to everyone who asks. On the other hand, the original was in Latin, and Latin is just kind of cool. What does everyone think?

You know, even if you get it in English people will be asking questions about it.  What does it mean?  Why did you get it?  Etc.  Generally I think things sound more beautiful in the language they were written in.

What I would do is go to an artist and ask if they'll sketch the tattoo up with English writing and with the Latin writing and then decide which you think looks better.

Why not have it done in Latin AND English?

And Spanish, too.  There are a lot of Spanish speakers in the US nowadays.

Latin.. you can always translate.

Go with the latin.  Its only two sentences to translate.
