Advice on writing character analysis essays (6 pages)?

I'm really bad at writing long essays.. I don't want to end up BSing it, just to get more length. Does anyone have any helpful tips on writing a good character analysis essay? I need to write one on a short story, which is due in 3 days.. I've been trying all week just to get started on it, but I can't get myself motivated.. or I'm lost at where to start! Any tips are appreciated!

Think about if you had to describe yourself to one of your children and wouldn't be around when they grew.  Make the character rich, full, real...

flesh her/him out to where they LIVE.

You want to get where whomever reads about this character feels as though they know him in and out.  

Write when it's quiet and choose your 'best time of day'

Someone with a good imagination can write a 15-page treatment of four characters alone.  Go get em girl!
