Advise/Help on online forums?

Question

Hi, i want to create an interactive forum where users can write comments and share views. however, i want it to be filtered. Meaning, before their post is being shown on the blog, i want to be the moderator where i can control the traffic.

what type of forum am i loooking at? which service gives a good service? what about livejournal?

You can start a Yahoo group and make all members moderated.  That way, you would have to approve all messages before they are posted to the group site.

To start a Yahoo group, go to  http://groups.yahoo.com/start

and just follow the prompts.  It's very easy!
