The 65-year-old tactician hailed his side’s impressive performance in the KNVB beker Cup semi-final, while revealing that his troops played according to the game plan that rewarded them a place in the final at the end of 90 minutes.
PSV Eindhoven head coach, d**k Advocaat, was extremely delighted following his side’s comfortable and convincing 3-0 victory over PEC Zwolle in the KNVB beker Cup semi-final at IJsseldelta Stadion on Wednesday, February 27.

“It was a very important victory, as we bounced back to winning ways. We’ve reached the KNVB Beker final”, Advocaat said while talking to journalists in the pre-match press conference.
The Dutch trainer went on to admit that his side could have faced an uphill task in Zwolle, but all the players performed according to the game plan that made the win comfortable.
“It could have been a tough night for us, after we suffered a 1-3 shock league defeat at home to PEC. The game plan tactics proved to be effective. We defended compactly and offered plenty goal threat”, Advocaat added.
PSV commenced proceedings brightly away from home, and Jurgen Locadia’s 16th minute strike gifted the visiting side a deserving lead. Four minutes after the half-hour mark, the young forward doubled his tally by hitting the target yet again.
The Eindhoven giants continued to assert their authority in spite of taking two goals lead, but they failed to put the match to bed until the 85th minute, when Locadia completed his hat-trick to make the score-line 0-3.
And Advocaat was all praise for the youngster’s performance on the pitch.
“Locadia has been knocking on the door for some time yet and could feature in the first-team more regularly. He played some good football tonight”, the Dutch tactician added.
