The Dutch trainer insisted that his troops failed to cope with the Friesland outfit’s aggressive approach on the pitch, and admitted that his side deserved to suffer a defeat after putting in a sloppy performance.
PSV Eindhoven head coach, d**k Advocaat, was extremely disappointed following his side’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of SC Heerenveen at Abe Lenstra Stadion on Saturday, March 9.
The former Borussia Monchengaldbach boss admitted that even though it was an enjoyable game, suffering defeat was not very pleasing.
“Heerenveen and PSV may have played an entertaining game, but as PSV head coach I am obviously unhappy with the defeat”, Advocaat said while talking to journalists in the post-match press conference.
The Dutchman went on to reveal that the home side applied pressure throughout the 90 minutes, which his side failed to cope with.
“They constantly applied pressure on our defence and we never got going in the first half. We made it difficult for ourselves and should have played more long balls. The first half was not very good, but the second half was different. We had a number of
chances to earn a draw, but it was not to be”, Advocaat concluded.

The Friesland outfit commenced proceedings brightly, and managed to break the deadlock within the opening eight minutes through Marten de Roon. The hosts doubled their advantage seven minutes before the half-time break through Yassine El Ghanassy.

victory at the end.
