Although the Eindhoven giants cruised to a comfortable looking win at the end of 90 minutes, the Dutch mentor insisted that his side did not put up a commanding display.
“I told the players to try and score an early goal. We would have hoped that VVV would push up and leave space at the back for our forwards to exploit. But VVV kept on defending solidly. We dominated but all in all it was rather a poor game”, Advocaat was
quoted as saying to the club’s official website.

Advocaat was not content with his side’s display, but he was satisfied with his side claiming all three points at the end.
“It was not the most sparkling performance of the season, but we deserved to win after a disciplined display. You will never claim only emphatic victories”, Advocaat concluded.
PSV remain unmoved at the summit of the Eredivisie table.
