The Dutch trainer has warned his troops not to take the upcoming Eredivisie game lightly, as Marco van Basten’s men are strong when they play in front of their home crowd.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven head coach, d**k Advocaat, has expressed optimism ahead of his side’s upcoming league game against Heerenveen at Abe Lenstra Stadion on Saturday, March 9.
The Friesland outfit are heading into the game on the back of two successive victories, and the former Borussia Monchengladbach boss has warned his troops that they must not take the opponents lightly, as they are capable of dominating the opposition at
home.
“At home they are hard to beat, as they have a number of players that can make the difference. And they have put in spirited performances lately”, Advocaat said while talking to the media in the post-match press conference.
PSV will have to do without the services of Jeremain Lens and Erik Pieters for the upcoming league game. The talented attacker will sit out his suspension while the full-back is still recovering from his injury.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ola-Toivonen-c28363, who returned to action last week, is likely to start the game on the bench, as he has yet to return to full fitness.
“http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Erik-Pieters-c12766 is on his way to full recovery. We have a large squad and there is fierce competition for places. Toivonen is building up match fitness but he will need two to three more weeks
to be 100% fit again”, Advocaat added.
The Eindhoven giants are currently occupying the top spot on the league table, two points ahead of the second placed, Ajax Amsterdam. With nine games left to play for before the ongoing 2012/13 season ends, the Boeren have a bright chance of lifting the
Eredivisie title.
And the Dutch trainer has expressed confidence that his side has got what it takes to become Dutch champions.
“There are nine games left, four at home and five away from home. The squad is fit and fresh”, Advocaat concluded.
The Dutch tactician would be hoping that his side could manage to bag all three points, and cement their place at the summit of the table.
