Aerobics success in losing weight?

Who has lost weight doing aerobics? How many times a week and how long did you do it for? And how long did it take you to see results?

I'm researching about it for a project of mine through my course studies.

OR if you have had any other success in losing weight through a particular exercise such as pilates, pump, etc

  1. My sister is an aerobics fan, having done an hour class a week fro about 7 months she has lost one clothing size having not changed her eating habits. I'm afraid I don't know exactly how much weight she's lost, but I believe it's in the region of half a stone. Personally, I think it seems like a lot of effort for quite a small result, but she does it for enjoyment and social reasons predominantly so I think she doesn't mind.

    I do a form of exercise called T-Tapp. (www.t-tapp.com) it's awesome for losing clothing sizes, but the weight loss is negligible because it's more about replacing fat with muscle rather than just losing weight.


  2. For football, i'v always done pylometrics and aerobics with the team (kind of g*y but whatever).  I couldn't tell you I lost weight because I was constantly in the weight room but they did improve my speed and flexibility by a lot.

  4. I did high impact aerobics 3 nights a week, got good core strength, added stamina but only lost inches not weight.

    I started walking every morning and i lost weight, about 6 kilos in 6 weeks.

  5. Pilate's made me lose inches but not necessarily weight.
