Aerosol deodrant on a plane?

I know this may seem like a stupid question but can aerosol cans explode when in mid air on a plane? I'm going away soon and I use a aerosol deodrant which works 10x better than any roll on I've ever used. I was always told that aerosol cans would explode as they're compressed air but I didn't know if it was a myth.

Aerosols can only be put into your suitcase, which is stowed in the hold of the aircraft!

Dove make a very good Roll On deodourant,and it can be used in the aircraft.

All aerosols have to be in your suit case and not hand luggage

They definately can, but would be surprised if you could test that theory, I don't think you can take them on in your hand luggage.

as long as they are in ur checked baggage then yes, but it might not "explode" but it might explode but not out of ur suitcase, just make sure its in like 2 or 3 plastic baggies in teh middle of all of your clothes so itll have some protection just incase it gets hit really hard it wont explode that way eitehr!

But idk if itll be there when you get off the plane because through security, they may look at it nad throw it out...

So i would bring a roll on just in case, or buy some where ever you land...

I'm glad you asked this. We've bought our son some suncream, that's aerosol, I only thought about it a few days after we bought it.

How come it's ok with your luggage but not your hand luggage?

Aerosols have to be packed in your suitcase rather than your hand luggage.

For better protection, go to your chemist and ask for a deodrant that is stronger. This is then a better roll on than the usual ones you can buy.

Not sure if its a myth or not but I always make sure mine is in my main hold luggage and not my hand luggage were it would be taken off you anyway, have a great holiday.
