  1. Can I first say that you are a great gentlemen for going and agreeing to do something that makes your fiance happy, even though rides make you a bit sick. My husband flat out refuses to go, even though he doesn't get sick on rides, he just gets anxious and has that knot in his stomach.

I would suggest taking some anti-nausea, anti-dizzy medication - you will need to go to your GP to get a prescription for this.

Good luck, and enjoy - it is fun.

  2. dont think about it might be really hard but think about good things, keep your mind off of it

  3. On a coaster if you feel sick to your stomach look straight ahead. Do not close your eyes. Try to breath slowly.

In pilot training they had us close our eyes, turn our heads to look over shoulders and bend over slightly while the instructor put the aircraft into an "unusual" configuration.

You would not believe how much dizziness and nausea this caused.

  4. Buy some Bonine...you can find it under the generic name of Meclizine.  It's essentially sea-sickness medication, but it disconnects sensation of nausea between your stomach and your brain.  You might still feel dizzy, but you won't be nauseous.

This is what the doctor prescribed when I had vertigo...For days, all I could do was vomit, but that stopped as soon as I started taking the meds.

  5. there's this thing you can buy that prevents dizziness. i know how it works though, so all you do is press your pulse while on the ride. the one on your wrist. i don't know how its supposed to work, but it does. ive tried it.

  6. Dramamine.  Take it prior to leaving for the park and on a full stomach and every 4-6 hours.  Do not eat eggs for breakfast or drink coffee, they can make you nausea.  Have something light like cereal.  At the park, avoid really sweet items like ice cream instead have it for a late night snack.  Always carry some crackers like goldfishes or saltines in cause of an upset stomach.  But if you feel really nausea, chew on some spearmint gum and drink some mineral water.  It's a old remedy for a shaken up stomach which works for me.  Good Luck!
