Is this the case? I've a snuggly, cuddly, huggy, follow me everywhere kitten who is now over 4 months and has been this way since I've had him (12 weeks). Will he always be this way or will he get more aggressive and aloof as an adult cat?

  1. He'll probably always be that way. Some kittens go through a phase or two where they forget they're not supposed to pounce on you with all their claws unsheathed or they bite your hand instead of the toy but they grow out of it.

  2. He'll probably always be this way. No one can say for certain but if you get him fixed you have even a better chance of him staying that way. My male and female kitties are both fixed and the male is always begging for attention while the female comes for attention on and off during the day and more so when you try to go to sleep.

  3. that really depends.  There is no way to tell how a cat's personality will change as they mature.  I think that if you have a male cat, a good way to keep him sweet and snuggly, is to neuter him.  And hope he continues to love you as he does now.

  4. He'll always be this way - even when he is an adult :).

  5. Hi there,

    I have 5 kittens...4 are 8 months old and 1 is 4 months.

They are all very very affectionate...and were from day 1.

I think that a cat will give affection if it gets affection.

If they know they can trust you and that you love them, they will return that.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Not always. My cat was as sweet as sugar when she was a little kitten. She used to follow me, purr all the time, and always want to play. Now it isn't like that. She is still great but rarely lets you pick her up, pet you, or play. She sleeps and wants to be left alone. I am sure your cat will be fine, just give it lots of love and make sure you are its best friend no matter what. :)
