Affordable extended Stay Hotel?

I'm being sent for 2 weeks of training paid for by my State job. Here is the problem I was told I had to pick a hotel for less than $85 a night and the training is in Irvine, CA a very expensive city in Orange county near Laguna Beach. I need a hotel with a kitchen I can't eat fast food for two weeks, I can't afford that and it is bad for my health. What should I do? Right now I can't afford to make up the difference because I havn't gotten paid yet. Anyone know of any? The cheapest room I found was 118 a month with my government discount.

  1. https://www.orbitz.com/Secure/ViewHotelG...

I hope that this helps! 79.00$ a night or there is also one for 85.00 and all suites have kitchens!! or you could go to orbitz and do some searching yourself

  2. Look online for "temporary corporate suites", or "extended stay hotels". Most cities have places where you can rent a studio or suite room by the week. They often have kitchenettes (maybe not an oven, but portable burners and a microwave, say). Laundry facilities are usually available, too.

Will you have a car when you go? You could probably find a less expensive place a bit further away, if you are willing to commute by car, or better yet, public transportation.

  3. well, check out extended stay america. Also I know that marriott has residence inn and choice hotels has Suburban Extended Stay. Also trip rewards hotels has wyngate hotels,
