I am currently a 2nd degree black belt in the ATA system. For college I plan to go to Valdosta State University, where I wish to continue martial arts, but something oter than Taekwondo. However, no website has information on pricing or belt systems, and the like two that do are way expensive.

Anyone know a place where a broke college kid can train?

  1. Good luck with your training. As for getting prices, that will be difficult at most schools. The basic reason is because businesses know that if they give out prices to anyone that ask the person is most likely to check out other MA schools too. Sales experiences have proven that to sign up a new student you must get them in quickly and sign them up the same day they come. Otherwise they know that you most likely will never come back.

With any luck there might be a martial arts class at the college. Many have martial arts clubs on campus.  If not you will just have to go check out a few schools in the area.

    Good Luck!
