  1. The method cleaning product sold at Target are good.

  2. Perhaps, Puraderm?  $10 + S/H for 16 oz

They exceed hypoallergenic standards because the standards are not high enough.

Make sure to tell them that Marc said not to put the label on the bottles.  TRUST ME!!!  It will fall apart all over your hands.

  3. Try making your own laundry detergent.  Look in your laundry aisle for a soap like Fels Naptha or Dr. Bronners Castile soap.

Grate 1/2 bar soap and add 1/2 cup Borax and 1/2 cup Washing Soda to it.  Use 1 Tablespoon per load of laundry.  It costs me a little under $.02 to do a load of laundry.

Dr. Bronners liquid soaps are a great bargain... a little goes a long way and can be diluted to use as bath soap, shampoo, toothpaste, a natural insecticide, all-purpose cleaner, etc.

Also, try googling homemade environmentally-friendly cleaning products - there are a number of "recipes" out there for cleaning products using baking soda or white vinegar and they work great!

I personally love Tom's of Maine toothpaste - it works great and lasts a long time.

Check out "Gorgeously Green" a book by Sophie Uliano - she has a website with message boards too and there are a ton of ideas there!

Burts Bees is one of my favorite skin care lines and it's not super expensive!

    Good luck!

  4. Dr. Bronner's is good. You can virtually use it for everything. If you read the labeling on the bottle it has suggestions for other things you can use it for. It's pretty cheap. You can buy these at Target.

Burt's Bee's is pretty good. I use the facial products. I like the body wash. You can also get these at Target and Walgreen.

Avalon Organics is good. I use these for my hair and they are pretty cheap.

  5. I agree with Casey...I LOVE the method cleaning products and laundry products. It has cost me less than what I used to buy (i.e tide and lysol products) and they work better than the other products i have used. They sell them at Target and sometimes I can find what I am looking for at Albertsons. The cucumber all purpose spray (great smell by the way) is like 3.29 per bottle and does a great job at getting stains out along with degresing. The laundry soap smells wonderful and works great. I was a bit skeptical about using the laundry soap but it gets the stains out better than tide or all. I hope that helps you. I just recently converted to all green and I would NEVER switch back to anything I used before because they work so well. If you go to the method website they can give you a list of retailers or give you the option to buy online...by the way they have a great line of air freshners/candles that are awsome, and a great line of body wash/shampoos that work great.
