Affordable wedding venue in MA/RI area?

Question

I realize "affordable" is a relative term, and that it doesn't usually go with the term "wedding," but I just need some suggestions. I'm getting discouraged, because when we find something that is affordable, it's usually smelly, or tacky, or falling apart. Any suggestions? It's small- 65-85 people. We're looking for more modern than "quaint." Thanks to all suggestions!

u could try a state park. they usually dont charge. also this is another reason to have a church membership. most churches don't charge for their members to use the building for a wedding! good luck and congrats!

i am also looking in that area...when is your wedding??? we are thinking next fall. if its the spring/summer check into state parks and beaches. even befining of fall would work also. Does anyone in your fam have memberships to country clubs? They might give a discount to members.
