Afghanistan Cricket Board eyeing foreign coach no extension for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rashid-Latif-c84084

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has confirmed that Rashid Latif’s contract as the side’s coach will not be renewed.
The ACB blamed the former Pakistani skipper, Latif, for not working according to the expectations of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Afghanistan-c745 board.
"We believe he has failed to fulfill our expectations and that has prompted us to look at other options," ACB chief executive Naseemullah Danish said.
"We all respect Latif, but the recent drubbing at the hands of Pakistan A forced us to ponder over our future. We need someone who is mentally tough and does not make lame excuses for defeats,” he added.
Meanwhile, Latif, who coached the Afghan side to win the Inter-Continental Cup successfully, claimed that Afghan players did not perform according to their potential intentionally, against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 ‘A’ in the 3-match ODI series.
The former Pakistani wicketkeeper took charge as coach of the Afghan team in 2010. He helped the inexperienced side to smash Pakistan in the semifinal of the Asian Games Twenty20.
Besides that, Latif has always been supporting his team, earlier, he requested the International Cricket Council (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625) to arrange international tours for Afghanistan.
The 42-year-old Afghan coach also requested Test nations to accommodate Afghanistan in their International tours.
Latif also advised the ACB to organise its cricketing structure properly in order to encourage development but the ACB is not pleased with his efforts and is looking for someone else to take the charge.
However, Latif confirmed that the ACB has not informed him officially regarding any changes.
Meanwhile, the Afghan board is considering the appointment of a foreign coach and believes that fomer coach, Kabir, can help the players more.
"Kabir will help us in two ways, firstly he is very http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Close-c51347 to our players and secondly he will help our players understand what the foreign coach will instruct them, since most of our players cannot understand and communicate in English." Danish said.
