August 24.

Openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Javed-Ahmadi-c66518 (23) set up an opening stand of 34 runs, which came to an end with Ahmadi’s dismissal at the hands of Chamod Pathirana in the 8th over. Hashmatullah Shaidi (27) was up next, and his 26-run stand
with Shabir Noori got the side up to 60 before the latter was sent packing by Madushanka.

However, the Sri Lanka U-19s breezed through the chase, losing only 3 wickets in the process. Pabasara Waduge (33) and Shehan Fernando (19) got the team off to a solid start, setting up an opening stand of 42 runs. Fernando fell prey to Yamin Ahmadzai in
