The national side expressed discontentment over the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625’s decision to exclude them from this year’s Asia Cup, but their skipper is hopeful that such treatment will not faze them in their bid to qualify for the upcoming mega event. Earlier, they book their
passage to the 2010 competition in impressive style but bowed out in the first round.
“We will try to use all the confidence from the fact that we have been champions from here back in 2010 in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier. We will fight every inch because it is our mission and target for Afghanistan to qualify," said Nawroz Mangal, Afghanistan
skipper.
Mangal however, added that the team has gained valuable experience from their previous appearance and will be determined to perform well, provided they do well in the qualifiers.
"If we qualify it will have a big impact on our cricket. It is our mission. If we play well, then it is all up to our fate. We hope we can do it again,” said the skipper.
Taking an optimistic approach, the skipper feels that the team has the right combination, which can beat any world class team on any given day.
Another positive element for the Afghanistan side is the return of their coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Kabir-Khan-c77039, who successfully managed to instill a winning mentality into the national team. His comeback certainly ensures stability and has created plenty of enthusiasm among
the players.
