Afghanistan name World T20 squad, Hamid Hassan recalled – Cricket News Update

has been recalled into the side for the mega event.
The 25-year-old new-ball bowler had picked up the injury while playing for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, in Dubai. The seamer has not played competitive cricket since then. He underwent a surgery on the
injured knee and is yet to recover completely, but the Afghanistan Cricket Board chief executive Hamid Shinwari is confident he will attain full fitness before the tournament kick starts, on September 18.
"We have selected http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 early next month," the ACB chief, Hamid Shinwari told
AFP.

Afghanistan have been placed in Group A, with title defenders England and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, and will start their campaign against the Men in Blue, at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on 19 September.
Afghanistan are one of the two non-Test playing nations in this edition of the marquee tournament. This is the second T20 World Cup that the Asian minnows will play in. They had earlier made their World T20 debut in Caribbean, in 2010.
