Can having an apendectomy be covered under aflac accident insurance?

No, its not covered. If the procedure is necessary as the result of a covered accident then the hospitalization will be covered and internal injury provision would apply. Just remember Aflac is not health insurance it's supplemental insurance, so remember that how something happens is more important to Aflac than what happened. (especially with this policy and their disability policy)

** Also, there is no harm in filing a claim anyway. Aflac is notorious for paying claims I never thought they would pay.

No, If you have their Hospital policy, you will qualify if you stayed over night.  But Call and check.
