Aflac - is it worth taking?

My husband brought home a packet of information for Aflac from his workplace. Is it worth taking the added protection?

Aflac is a good reputable company, and I personally have it.  However it is insurance and they are betting you won't need it (that is how they make their money) by taking it you are betting that you will.  So like all insurance it is up to you.  Never buy insurance on something you can afford to loose.

I believe it is worth the extra protection because I recently got Aflac and I have already had to use my accident and the company will stand behind its policy and the check goes directly to you so you can use the money on whatever you need to

IMO yes.

We have excellent insurance, but still have Aflac. It covers what ins does not.
