  1. tighten up your gut and it lowers the intensity of the ride

  2. ok, first ov all, wen u first get on a roller coaster you should look 4 a littl(or littlER)kid that is going on, too.  if they can do it, so can you.  also, think about how they test the rides a ton ov times b4 they can open it:if it wasnt safe, then they wouldnt let you go on it. also when you are on lines, and you want to chicken out, you really shouldnt because it is going to be fun!! if you think "this is scary   im guna die" the hole time, it is guna be scary and you are guna have a horrible time.  but if you think that you are having fun, you will have fun    Get it?!  ok, well, have fun!!

  3. omg, its gonnna be fun; my friend has been to it and he is also afraid of roller coasters so i forced him on and boy did he get over his fea. Same with me, i was afraid of rollercoasters but as i wqent on them from small to big(kingda ka) i got over my fear. just relax and dont be worried or else you'll get sick after.

  4. Im Scared Of Roller Coasters Too And The Other Day Me And Some Friends Whent To Six flags And They Tried Draging Me On To A Ride It Was Scary.  I Wouldnt Get On If I Were You.

  5. just think that the worst thing that will happen to u is that you won't like it. suck it up and go on a coaster, and ull have a blast they are amazing

  6. I had that same problem! I hated roller coasters last year -- they would always give me that awful feeling in my stomach. Then, I learned something! Put your hands up in the air! It may seem scary at first, but believe me, you will NOT fly out, and that stomach going into throat feeling will disappear. You will be able to enjoy yourself and make new memories!

I am actually going to Kennywood Amusement Park tomorrow!

  7. i used to be so terrified of rides and even waterslides! i was a big wuss.. but one day my friends and i were at west edmonton mall and they have the worlds largest indoor rollercoaster it has 3 big loops. I have no idea what made me say yes but i went on it. and ever since then i love rollercoasters and i no longer have a fear of going on other rides that used to bother me.. I guess what im saying is just take the plunge and try it out, the worst that will happen is that you dont like it, but who knows you might come to realize that you really enjoy them. Good luck oh and dont eat too much before you go lol

  8. I just had a dream about rollercoasters lastnite.  I too am afraid. I have gone as far as to get on one and have the attendant unstrap me right before it got started. So my suggestion is to not get on if you are really afraid. Don't try to prove anything to anyone, what good will that do. Just be like, naaa, I'lll sit it out. Don't do it. It's self torture.

  9. I used to be scared too. Its nothing to be ashamed of. What i did was just think of your favorite thing, or how many people have gone on and had fun, or how many saftey tests the ride has been through. Just tell yourself you'll ride once to humor them, and-who knows? Maybe you'll like it.

  10. Be a little brave, if you scream while your on the coaster it reduces the fear and intensity of the ride.

  11. when your on a ride just think about something else and plus what i do is im like this ride is going to end soon

  12. Try to be zen about it.  Just stay in the moment as each moment happens, try not to worry about what comes next.

  13. 1. Don't be embarrassed of your fear. Tell your friends you are scared and tell them to encourage you and not force you.

    2. Literally think: "what's the worst that could happen?", but DON'T try and answer the question for yourself, if you try imagining all kinds of horror scenarios you won't help yourself, stop doing that in the first place.

    3. When you're there, surrender to the ride. There are many many far more dangerous things in the world. Try to relax (be sure you went to the toilet before though, or you could relax too many of the wrong muscles). Realy just give up your resistance and let yourself be entertained, being tense just doesn't work. Surrender.

  14. sarah d.. you shouldn't close your eyes on any ride because it will make you sicker. and think about happy things. like what's the most happiest thing in your life. and whatever you do don't look back. Good luck :)

  15. I don't really like them either.  I guess that's not really a suggestion for you but I thought that it may help you to know that you are not alone.  I think that the only roller coaster that I have ridden and enjoyed was the 1 minute Coal Miner roller coaster at Six Flags.  It was really only about a minute long and really the only roller coaster I could take.
