So my hair is beautiful very curly, it looks really nice when wet HOWEVER this hair is very hard to manage so I usually just braid it down and wear a wig or sewed in weave. My hair is natural (no perm for about 4 years) I love it when it's straight the problem is it never stays straight more than few hours. I live in Florida so it is very humid but does anybody have any clue of what I should do to keep it straight for at least a week, products, anything that will help. Hairstylists do you know of a special hot comb or straigthener that is probably costly but will do the job and leave straight for awhile? A friend of mine was telling me about something in GA that hairstylists do call silk it or something like that but I never heard of it. Anything will help. Thanks! (And yes, I also tried blow dry it with a brush, again the final product look very nice but it just doesn't stay, and no I don't want to put perm all it does is damage my hair and I don't want to put anymore chemical in it)

  1. Back in the 60s the blacks had some hair goop that helped straighten their hair, not sure of the name , so do some shopping.

  2. Have you gone to a beauty supply store like Sally's?  It might have something other than relaxer kits in the African American hair care section.  I use Proclaim coconut oil hair and scalp conditioning cream to help cut down the frizz when it is dry.  I am not African American, but it works for me.

  3. you need Sabino Moisture Block. Apply the serum to each section of hair after you flat-iron and it will stay straight:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8u7GJGaD...
