African Cichlids???

Question

How many Cichlids can I put in a 40-45 gal. tank??? and what kinds would be cool(that are common enough where i could get them at petsmart or petco)???

Around 7-8 as they grow big and get territorial with each other. Haplochromis, Lemon  and Firemouth cichilids make interesting combos

if it's a 4 foot tank, you can keep 2 species in it

yellow labs and electric blues are the ones which should be readily available at your petstores

1 male and 2 females of each species
