  1. Africa is made up of 60+ countries (regardless of the actual number it's more then any other continent).  Most have their own currency.  Prices depend on where you are in Africa.  With the political problems currently ongoing in Zimbabwe you might be able to get a house for 500 pounds, though a pint of milk or other essentials might cost 50 pounds.

  2. Africa is the world's second-largest and second most-populous continent, after Asia. With about 922 million people in 61 territories, it accounts for about 14.2% of the world's human population. There are 46 countries including Madagascar, and 53 including all the island groups. (thanks Wikipedia)

Surprising as it may seem, prices for basic consumables can vary dramatically from one place to another across this vast continent. A good place to get information on living or travelling costs in various countries around the globe is http://www.lonelyplanet.com

As for currency exchanges, you can get real time rates for any world currency at http://www.xe.com

  3. I know that its like £2000 for a house :L i had an ordeal with a friend and he had to pay them £1000 pounds and in there money it would be half of what a normal house would cost haha
