My African dwarf frog has been singing the past couple of nights. I'm curious as to when it typically does this, and what he does it for.

  1. he's tryin to let the other girly frogs around know he's a handsome fellow or he maybe just tryin to have a conversation with another frog.

  2. From what I understand about them..they are nocturnal so it would normal for them to make noises at night. He does it to communicate :) It's all normal. Perhaps you could try to go to the tank and spend time with him while he is doing it (if you aren't to tired that is lol). He will come to realize that when he sings he will get attention. African frogs..dwarfs or not are very..interactive creatures if you give them enough attention. Some people have even gotten theirs to do tricks on command. Great choice in a pet!!

  3. Well typically when an frog of any family sings, it is doing it as to give some kind of warning whether it be to itself or the owner, I would be cautious over the next couple of days.
