After countless questions, I've decided to keep a beta and mystery snail, along with 2 dwarf frogs...now, I've done my homework on these frogs, but can everyone help me with what i need to get for them to survive: I have food - Freeze Dried Bloodworms, Plants - 3 artificial (2 small, 1 tall), Hiding Place - Barrels w/ Barnacles, and for Substrate - I have marble pebbles that are blue and red. Is that all I need - will all these be sufficient for the frogs; what's good, bad...and what else, if anything, do I need???

PS - my tank comes with a filter, light, heater, etc.

  1. There is a pellet food that you get at the pet store called "Frog and Tadpole Bites".  It's all natural, with added vitamins and minerals . It's soft and easy to digest, and it sinks to the bottom.  Also, Both the Betta and the Frogs seem to like Frozen Blood Worms better than Freeze Dried.

The water needs to be treated with products that remove chlorine and ammonia, and kept at pH level of 6.8 to 7.0.

And, from personal experience, keep an eye on how the Frogs and Betta get along!  I did the same thing, and one of my frogs bit my (2 year old) Betta and he died within 2 weeks from a bacteria infection, even with treatment (Bettafix)

I now have a tank of just African Dwarf Frogs!!!

  2. all you'll really need is a vacuum and a net for the tank so you can clean out most of the p**p they have done then you pretty much have everything you need

p.s if anything dies take it out quick or the frogs might eat it!!!

  3. That should be good, you can also feed them dried shrimp pellets for bottom feeder fish, thats what i feed mine
