  1. This is the place to go for grey advice: http://www.greyforums.net/

  2. Well, every kind of bird NEEDS attention. The bigger the bird, the more attention it will need. You also need to know they live for a long time, so make sure once you get this bird, you shouldn't sell it, as though it would be heart breaking for the bird and Gee is wrong. It doesn't matter what gender the bird is. It all depends on YOU and how YOU try to gain his/her trust and how YOU try to communicate with it. Though in my experience, it is harder to teach 2 birds than it is with one. So make sure, when you want to teach them tricks, step up signal, etc. You need to take one into a different room so he/she will not get distracted from the other bird. As for giving your african grey whatever you eat, just to gain his trust will sometimes work, but the food could be harmful, as though the birds tongs are different from us humans. So, keep in mind that, just because something isn't harmful to us (talking about food) won't be harmful to your bird. Make sure you put them in a room, that has people their everyday like the living room, or your room, if you like. The room shouldn't be too cold nor too warm. Though warmer is better than cold. As for the food and stuff, i'm not sure what's really healthy as though i haven't had a african grey parrot, so you'll have to go check for bad ingrediants because they do sell bad food, so make sure you check on that. Other than that, good luck on your two new african grey parrots, that your going to get! Hope they turn out great for you! :)

  3. i have an African grey parrot called poppet lol she hates me though, handy advice; african grey's are the only type of parrot that take a liking to the owner of the opposite s*x, so if its a girl it will like men and if its a boy vice versa. i have a girl unfortunatly, it hates me lol. be aware that they hard very hard bites lol i learned the hard way. they love to have a large cage and you should let them out for min. 2hours a day in an enclosed room so it can stretch its wings and get more aware of the living environment around it. also a good idea is to get another, smaller cage and put the bird outside to help cleanse its lungs and have some fresh air.  give them some toys to play with to discover if its a playful pet, if it is feel free to buy more but if its not, like mine, i wouldnt bother wasting your money. you can buy good parrot food from your local pet shop but be aware that they will not like any kind of outdoor bird food like seeds. they usually love mirrors and you should defiantly have a beak sharpening pole, that is very good for them.

Bond with your bird: If you ever have a yogurt or some kind of food try and share it with your bird and it will become more of a lovable pet :)

Im sure this has helped but if not i am very sorry.

have fun with your new african grey's, they are very interesting birds, mine talks to me and does all kinds of crazy noises lol :D x*x
