There is not a single truth to anything you said ya dumbass, those exact people at ask a biologist .com were asked for the data, they didnt have it, show us all these fairy tale sources then, not the site but the records its self...the only animal that had been killed by a blow from the paw, was brown bears, more than 3x by the african lion:

    Idiot

  2. I disagree, first of all a grizzly does not have half the strength of a full grown male silverback mountain gorilla, gorillas are at least 3-5 times stronger than grizzlies. Gorillas have been estimated to have ability to lift over 4 tons over their heads no grizzly is capable of those types of strength feats, furthermore the average weight of the male grizzly is around 400 -800 pounds the kodiak brown bear which is known to reach weights over 1000 pounds is often mistaken for the grizzly bear but they are diffrent species, grizzlies seldom reach over 800 pounds.

Also keep in mind that male lions are known to take down water buffalo that easily exceed 2 tons. Just as there have been accounts of grizzlies beating lions  in pit fights there has also been documented proof of interspecies conflicts where  lions were pitted against grizzlies with the male lion coming out on top in many instances and inflicting serious damage on the grizzly bear, bears defeating lions is not is forgone conclusion and is usually hyperbole in many cases, a full grown male lion is a match for almost any creature.

  3. This match sounds good on paper, but in fact is actually kinda one-sided. Here's why, the largest "voracious African male lions" only grow up to 8 or 10ft. long and weigh 550-600lbs. While a colossal grizzly bear can be up to 10 ft. tall on its hind legs and weigh over 1000lbs. Believe it or not a grizzly bear can run up to 40mph, faster than a male lion. Not to mention it is far more powerful. After researching about both species, i'd compare the lion to an ordinary monkey, and the grizzly bear to a large silverback gorilla, in terms of strength. The lion's main weapons, its claws and jaws would only be effective against the bear on its neck, however, with the massive bear standing on its hind legs, its thick hide and fur, and its balanced center of gravity; the lion would expend most of its energy just trying to knock the bear down. Even if the lion locked its jaws on the bears neck, the jaws would go all the way around the thick neck, and the fur would provide excellent protection against the lions jugular attacks. The bear could easily knock the lion off with one swipe of its mighty paw. Truthfully, a grizzly bear could easily crack the skull, dislocate the neck, and kill a lion in one crushing swipe. Imagine giving a large hammer the sized of a bears paw, with huge 8 inch claws on the ends, to an angry silverback gorilla. Imagine him pounding you with this hellacious club, that is what a grizzly's paw is like.

For those who don't buy into this, there has been evidence that grizzly bears are capable of killing lions. In fact, in the early 1900's the Japanese had animal fighting arenas in which they often pitted Grizzly bears and lions, it is documented that the bear dominated the lions using only one or two swipes! These fights also took place in Canada and the bears were said to easily have dominated the lions there to. This answer is more of a physical and biological fact rather than an opinion.
