Based upon the current form : Dhoni is the best as he is taking care of Keeping and captaincy along with the strong middle order batting.

Based on the nature: Dhoni comes in first place as he plays as per the situation. if wickets fall qucikly then he will start playing defensively to get a good total. if wickets are in tact then he goes for the bang bang from the first ball.

Afridi is just a slasher. he slashes at all the balls and wants to have a strike rate of 600 everytime.

Gibbs, he is a very good player of spin in the SA team. BUt lost his confidence when he spilled the Waugh catch in world cup and he is not in his usual self.

Well, you can't rely on Afridi & Gibbs, as both are hitters & they play their usual game whatever may be the situation, but Dhoni plays as per the requirement.

Gibbs is really a very good batsman, but he has lost his confidence & form. On the other hand, Afridi is confident, but he is not in form in batting as well as bowling. He is a very dangerous batsman if at all he clicks. Dhoni is definitely the best as compared to the other two at present. He is in good form, plays quite well as per the situation, manges the team well as a captain which is very essential so as to take out the best of them, keeps wickets etc.,
