http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s premier all-rounder is likely to miss the final T20I against Australia as he is yet to recover from the thumb injury, sustained during the third ODI at Sharjah.
The player was earlier sidelined for the second ODI, before returning for the series’ decider. However, he injured his thumb while fielding and was subsequently ruled out for the opening two T20Is, with young left-arm spinner, Raza Hassan, taking his place.
In his absence, the Men in Green secured the T20 series with a thrilling Super Over win in the second game at Dubai after the scores had been tied at 151 at the end of the regulation 20-overs (each).

"I don't think so, because he's still not feeling that good," Hafeez told reporters in Dubai. "I don't want to take any chance because I want him in the World Cup. He's a match-winner for Pakistan, there's no doubt. I don't think he will be available. We'll
have to see. If he recovers well he's always the first choice for me as a captain but at the moment I don't think he will be available for the third game."
Afridi’s performances this year has been below-par, where he has picked just 15 wickets in 16 ODIs matches, with five of those scalps coming in the One-off ODI against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Afghanistan-c745. Also, his batting form has also shown a considerable dip when compared to
his career average of 23.34, where the player has scored 182 runs at a lowly 15.16, with a highest of 51.
He however, has fared better in the T20 arena, with his most profitable outing coming in the second T20I on tour of Sri Lanka - scoring an unbeaten 52 and taking 2 for 17 - which helped his side level the two-match series.
