Afridi media outburst costs him his central contract
Former captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-c89347 Afridi's media outburst finally cost him his central contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He was also issued a show cause notice by the PCB, asking for an explanation of his remarks.
Moreover, his central contract payments have also been held back.
In addition, the national cricket board has also withdrawn all No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) for Afridi, according to which, he will not be allowed to play overseas.
Afridi did not give prior notice to PCB and announced his retirement directly to media and according to the board his actions breached Clause 2.1.4 of the Central Contract.
PCB’s press release stated that Afridi has breached Clause 4.4 concerning dealing with media, by making remarks about members of the national cricket body.
As per PCB’s action, Afridi will not be able to play for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hampshire-c789 in the English County Twenty20 tournament.
Morever, he will also be deprived of playing in the opening edition of the Sri Lankan Premier League, which is scheduled to begin, at the end of June.
Earlier, Afridi while declaring his retirement stated that he will not play international cricket until http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Malachy-Bernard-Loye-c73963 of the PCB. He also added that, he would not play for a board that doesn’t give any respect to players.

Despite steering Pakistan’s team to a 3-2 victory in the five-match ODI series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 was handed over responsibility.
The flamboyant batsman said that he was not given any reason for his removal nor was he consulted by PCB authorities. He also mentioned that a group of people from Lahore had been continuously opposing him and kept on spoiling his image in front of high-ups.
Many former cricketers have shown their sympathies for the recently retired captain saying that it was a sad development.
