Afrin Nasal Spray, if used properly is it safe?

Afrin is a last resort for me, I have terrible sinus congestion when I lay down to a cold. I couldn't sleep at all. So if I planned to use it only once, and never unless really necessary, can it be safe? I alread bought it, and I can't return it, and I didn't read about the dangers until AFTER i bought it. So anyways, if I planned on only using it once, is it safe?

I was just told by my doctor to use Afrin for only 2 days, try Musinex D to clear up the congestion also.  It works for 12 hours and I think it works better.

Yes, if  you got it at a reputable pharmacy, as long as you take it according to the suggested dosage, you are fine...

There are side effects of everything such as using a cell phone, for example... But will you stop using it?

It is safe if you use it as directed and very infrequently.  The more you use it, the more likely you will become dependant on it.  You may not feel you have to have it to get high, but your sinuses will seem more congested and you will want the relief.
