It's kind of strange, these three events happened in 1974, 1990 and 1991 (the last two involved the medical profession. One of them I was practically OD'd on the drug Versed...I lost 20 years of memories, and have all kinds of emotional and mental issues from it (be smart and don't EVER let ANYONE slip you this drug in an IV...be an informed consumer patient and read up on what this poision does to a person's mind!!!)

I'm in therapy, see a psychiatrist and am on medication mostly for severe anxiety attacks.

I also try to excerise as much as I can, any other good advice is appreciated on dealing with this. I wouldn't wish PTSD on anyone....it's like living in your own private h**l.....

  1. I have found that the following things work best for me:

    - Long hikes through The Great Smokey Mountains

    - Watching all the summer reality shows such as America's Got Talent, Nashville Star, Celebrity Circus, and of course The Ultimate Fighter.

    - Swimming nude in Hippie River in Austin, Texas

    - Placing my neighbors under arrest when they make too much noise (citizen's arrest).

I hope you will try at least one of these aforementioned remedies.

  2. PTSD is on it's best day something you can ignore when it crosses your mind, but the trick is to have a lot of these days.  I have become a workaholic.  I pack more into my day that almost everyone I have ever met.  Focus on productive, rewarding, work.  In my case, operating a second business created so much demand on my time that other concerns seemed to vanish.  Continue to exercise, or the stress with kill you first, and keep your time occupied with demanding tasks.  Best wishes.
