Question:

After 55-250mm which zoom lens ??

Hi

I own a canon 400d & have a 18-55mm , 55-250 . Could anyone suggest wat should be my next lens . type of use mostly wildlife .

And also a good macro 1:2 ratio lens how about a sigma.

  1. 500mm Mirror Lens.

    Brilliant for wildlife.

    This one claims macro to 1:2.7!

    Why the thumbs down?

    This is not MY lens...just an example!

    But for a wildlife photographer a 500mm mirror is an excellent choice.

    A good photographer.


  2. You're not going to get a quality lens that goes much past 250mm without spending at least $1000. If you do have over $1000 to spend I'd look at the Canon EF 100-400mm L-series.

    If you don't have $1000 and desperately want a little bit more on the long end I'd look at the Canon EF 70-300mm. It'll run you around $400-$500.

    I WOULD NOT get that mirror lens. Any pictures you take with it will be c**p. Even the demo pictures they had on their website were c**p.
