  2. Yes, I feel like I have fewer safe travel options than before the wars.  I traveled in Turkey in 1999, and I sure wouldn't do that now.  I wanted to see the solar eclipse at the pyramids in Egypt in 2006, but decided it's not worth the risk.

  3. Only if you are an American. (George Bush is now more recognisable as a totem of **** better than the McDonalds or Coca-Cola logo). But having said that, most of the world that I've PERSONALLY travelled to, take to people on an iNDIVIDUAL basis rather than nationality.

       I am still very leary about getting on an airplane, even for domestic flights!

  5. You mean choices of places to visit?  Not for me personally, because I've never been interested in traveling to dangerous places.
