If the purpose was to die for other people's sins [which Jesus never said he was after] shouldn't he have remained dead?

  1. he was dead for three days and three nights and then appeared several times to different people but did not ascend to the father

untill penticost, thats 50 days after what you call easter /you can find that in your bible if you take time to read it

  2. Jesus beat The Grave. Apparently, Jesus actually went into h**l in order to save us from our sins.

    Check John 3:16

  3. Jesus said to one of the thieves crucified beside him: "Today you shall be with me in Paradise."

Then He said to Mary after His resurrection: "Don't touch me for I have not gone back to the Father yet."

Simply shows that space and time no longer mattered to the risen Christ.

Without rising from the dead, His work for our salvation would not be complete.

  4. Resurrection proved His sacrifice was accepted.

  5. Interesting question. The point was if an man could stay faithful to god, unlike Adam. Jesus did remain dead , for three days.

And Jesus did say he had come to take away the sins of the word. Let me know if you interested and ill tell you where you can read it in your own bible.

  6. Assume God exists for the sake of this question:

    The resurrection was a miracle.

Anyone could have died on a cross.

By coming back Christ was proving his divinity.
