After I cancel my ancestry.com paid account, will I still have access to my family tree?

  1. Yes you can even create a tree without a paid account, you just won't have access to the information that your paid account opens.  

    But if in doubt email them and them the question. They'll be able to tell you what you still have the capabilities of doing.

Not sure about that...But to be safe, why not download it to a genweb program and you can even put it on another website that is free...www.tribalpages.com is free, and you can put up to 50 pictures for free on it..Plus you have two passwords, one password to give to family and friends so they can see it if you want them to...and another password that you as an owner will have to edit and make changes to the tree...No one but you as the editor gets to see the complete tree with living people if you put them as living, and no one can see the website at all unless you give them guest password...If you want to go larger with it, they charge $23/year and offer a search engine to see if others on the website has family that matches yours...I would do that, or put all the information into a genweb program and burn a backup disc to be safe...
