After I play some volleyball (bumping the ball) I end up with a bunch of red/pink/purple dots on the inside of my forearms. Is this normal? What is it and what causes it?

  2. That means that you popped blood vessels on the inside of your arm.  It is completely normal and nothing you should be worried about at first.  If it continues or gets majorly worse, you should contact your doctor and stop playing for awhile, because too many popped could get bad.  It is normal whe digging hard balls when your just beginning.  It happens to everybody! :D

  3. your skin is new to that amount of presure being forced on such sinsitve skin so until you build up a little calus to it its going to be red...keep bumping it it will go away as you play more

  4. when i started playing volleyball my arms always hurts and were red it's just your arms aren't used to it. it's totally normal

  5. That's totally normal, they are just popped blood vessels. It is from the pressure of the volleyball against your forearms. You may toughen up a bit and see fewer, but if you are fairskinned or being hit at hard, you might still have them. They will go away, and if it helps, ice them to relieve any pain.

  6. Yes, it is normal.

    Don't worry about it.
