After Jose Reyes becomes NL batting title winner, Ryan Braun looks forward to post-season

The Milwaukee Brewers’ left-fielder Ryan Braun is barely bothered after Jose Reyes became the National League batting title winner on Wednesday, September 28. Reyes resorted to ‘bunt and bolt’ approach to win the title.
Reyes called the season off after he played his shot, dealing a severe blow to the chances of Ryan Braun to have the maximum hits in the season. Reyes had a total of 181-for-537 while Ryan Braun, so far, has 187-563 with an average of .332526 compared to
that of Reyes .337057.
For the Brewers’ left-fielder, however, it is not what the New York Mets’ All-Star short-stop Jose Reyes’ record that matters. It is rather the post-season games that come as top priority for him in the days to come.
"It's extremely difficult, extremely challenging to get to the postseason, and by far, that's been my top priority," Braun said after the race was settled. "It's made it really easy to not think about what's going on, not focus on some of my personal things
that I had going on."
While Reyes will also be playing his last game with the New York Mets, his decision to call the season with his bunt and bolt approach was actually a formal announcement of Braun’s inability to become the batting title winner.
"I respect whatever decision he decided to make, and ultimately he left the door open for me," Braun said Wednesday afternoon. "I know it's not impossible.”
The most urgent thing that Braun currently has to look for is the upcoming post-season games against the Arizona Diamondbacks starting from Saturday, October 1. The schedule was announced on Thursday. The Diamondbacks will be looking to dominate the Brewers
from the start with their aggressive play.
A lot depends on how the Brewers capitalise on the hitting. Having the likes of Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun on their side, the duo is having a tremendous record this season in scoring runs and having hits. The Brewers are expected to prevail over the Diamondbacks
with strong offence.
