After PCR, the product DNA is purified, what else could it contain?

after this process, the DNA is purified, what other things might it contain that it has to be purified. Would it be other proteins?

  1. Unincorporated nucleotides, salts from the buffer, and the DNA polymerase protein


  2. Purified? If by purified you mean cleaned with EtOH and Salt, then all it would contain is Storage Buffer (Whatever you resuspended in after the Precip, either sterile water, TE, or EDTA, anything to catch up divalent cations), Your amplified DNA, RNA and any water soluble proteins.  Anything not Water soluble would be lost in the "purification" stage.
