I have read somewhere that ms-13 is infesting central America, particularly its native country of provenance,El Salvador. I also wanted to know if its safe to travel to that country or they still have problem with MS-13.

and all the cities in Bolivia

  3. Ok, most of the people who wrote your answers really dont sound like theyve been outside of America, so let me give you an insiders opinion, because i have been in a lot of places of South America.

Rio de Janiero o Sao Paulo

-these places are most known for petty thefts..no guerrila or anything like that, but they steal A LOT

Colombia, theyre not "still into coke"..yeah there are a handfull of druglords there because most of the cocaine shipped into America is from there, but the druglords are dangerous with eachother and if youre in that business, they actually take care of the cities and are harmless unless you mess with them..the guerilla stays in the amazons and places where no one goes, just dont go around showing how much money you have and being flashy, because if you do you might get some attention..m13 is nothing compared to major guerilla groups that are in colombia ...like the FARC,ELN, the paramilitary...theres a lot worse, colombia is such a beautiful country..it had to have something wrong with it or else it would be perfect

  4. Almost all of northern Mexico is not safe because of the drug dealers.

  5. The MS-13 is an extreme problem in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala. Other Central American countries like Belize, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, thankfully, don't have a problem with the MS-13, they all have some, but no where near the numbers that are in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras or even the U.S. for that matter. El Salvador has the highest homicide rate in Central America, crime is very prevalent as well. Crime is everywhere, but in Central America the three countries that rank with the highest overall crime rate are, not surprisingly, the ones that have a problem with the MS13, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala. Belize has less than a million people so they usually don't get included. Nicaragua is the safest country in Central America, followed by Costa Rica and then Panama, there is crime in those three countries as well, but no where near the rate of the other 3 that are infested with that gang.

As for other dangerous cities in Latin America i have heard are: Medelin, Colombia; Mexico City, Mexico; Caracas, Venezuela; Guatemala City, Guatemala; and some others  don't recall.
