After Roach Gibson has his hopes attached with Edwards and Best – Cricket News Update
Disappointed at Kemar Roach’s untimely injury, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Fidel-Henderson-Edwards-c57010 and Tino Best to fill the vacuum created by the Barbadian's departure.
"We believe that a very excited Tino [Best] and a fit-again Fidel [Edwards] will be able to provide us with the spark that we will miss from Roach's absence," said Gibson while speaking to the media reporters on Wednesday.
"We still have an awful lot for which to play in the final Test, and Tino and Fidel can give the cutting edge to our bowling if they play," he added further.
Roach, the 23-year-old pace bowler from Barbados was ruled out of the remainder of England tour after he was diagnosed with a shin muscle injury. The Barbadian is due to return home in the next couple of days to start a recovery and rehabilitation programme
in order to get fit in time for the home series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sunil-Philip-Narine-c91869, has been called up as Roach’s replacement.
Roach is the second fast bowler the Windies have lost on the tour. Two weeks ago Shannon Gabriel was forced to go home following his Test debut at Lord’s. The fiery Barbados pacer, Tino Best, replaced Gabriel in the squad and despite arriving in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013
well before the second Test, he was not picked for the Trent Bridge Test, which the tourists lost by nine wickets.

Best, who has not donned West Indies colours since September 2009, has played 14 Tests and has 28 wickets in his name at an average of 48.67.
Fidel Edwards, also a Barbados fast bowler, played in the first Test at Lord’s but missed the second five-dayer after failing to make an impression in the series opener (1 for 112). Edwards has 54 Tests under his belt and has 158 wickets in his bag at 38.37.
Whilst England have already gained an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, the third and last Test starts at Edgbaston from June 7, 2012.
