  1. He's counting his money.

The fight should have been called at the end of the round, when Thompson had his arms pinned and was punching him on the face and Kimbo was defenseless.

Kimbo is going to be Tank Abbott or Bob Sapp - bring the crowds in.  But at least Sapp beat Ernesto Hoost legitimately.

  2. Kimbo has been hit in the head too many times and won't be able to learn the necessary jui-jitsu to be successful at MMA unless matches are tailor made for his success (like on Saturday). Any decent grappler, wrestler, jiu-jitsu person would have a field day with Kimbo.

Can he take a punch, yes. Can he strike, yes. Is there much else, nope.

  3. Keep in mind Kimbo was put on the card Saturday because of his being well known. MMA need a big draw to attrack advertizers and Kimbo fit the bill. I think there are many better MMA competetrs but none were as marketable as Kimbo. Let's face it MMA is a buisness and not abot promoting the Arts.....It's all about the M-O-N-E-Y

  4. It was a good fight, I think he has a lot to learn. I love MMA fights and think he is over rated. Don't get me wrong Kimbo can BRAWL, but his fighting in the cage needs to get stepped up!

    Especially his ground game.

  5. I think that his trainers are trying to show Kimbo that he can't go around doing what he did on the street in his videos. He's in a Mixed Martial Arts competition now, and they're probably trying to mold him into that kind of competitor. However, in the last round of that fight, Kimbo won that fight because he went back to his street tactic. I also agree with the Top Contributor, but I feel like if he does stick by what he knows he'll always win. People are trying to change him but he'll only change if he wants to because there are sports where his street tactic is good in sport but not in the MMA.

  6. in the post press conference you could tell he really got humbled.  He knows he has a lot to learn.  Thompson wasn't even in the top 30 heavyweights in the world and kimbo barely, controversially, beat him.  It just shows that the guys he fought in backyards aren't anything compared to trained mma fighters.  Fedor Emelienenko, considered by many to be the best heavyweight in the world would toy with kimbo at will.

  7. Probably feels happy to won the fight.

    Probably feels really d**n sore.

I don't think he is doubting himself, because he has remained humble throughout this.

I think he is like any other fighter who wins but took some damage... "I got some stuff to work on".

It's not like he got humiliated or anything, he did win. It wasn't as lopsided as people thought it would be, he probably isn't happy with his performance, but is happy with a win.

I remember getting my @ss handed to me in a fight for 2 rounds, and midway through the third I caught the guy in a submission and won. I was effing thrilled. Honestly it feels pretty d**n good to pull out a win in the face of defeat and to come back like that, it is good fighting spirit.

However a few days later I started to break down where I went wrong. But today on Monday, Kimbo probably is feeling good about winning, sore as c**p from the fight, few days from now he will continue to work on his weak points.
