After a bad dye, how can I make my hair a little lighter?

I just dyed my hair dark brown, but it came in too dark. How can I enlighten it at a lighter shade? I know there won't be any miracle solution, but I thought washing it a lot would help. Natural/home ideas, I can't go to a salon right now.

  1. If it's not a permanent dye, wait a few days and try some lighter shades, if not head to the salon

  2. Bleach it but be very very careful, possibly get a friend to help?

    good luck x

  3. use vosene shampoo and conditioner, its known to strip the colour alot faster and its really cheap, i know it works because i died my hair black and really regretted it and  someone told me to use it for a few weeks and my hair turned  to a light shade of brown x

  4. I have heard that a weak solution of peroxide will lighten up. Spray on when damp from a shampoo. It may turn a bit red coloured but will look more like highlights.

  5. go to a hairdresser

  6. there's a couple ways,

easy but messy is lemon juice; wet your hair with it' let it set about 15 minutes, then wash as usual.

Also do not wet your hair just rub your shampoo throughout let set for 1/2 hour at least then get hair damp rub it through again and rinse. This one is my favorite
