After a disappointing McCoy’s Premier League, the world awaits Adrian Lewis to hit the ‘jackpot’ once again!
The McCoy’s Premier League 2012 was an entertainment extravaganza. Whitlock, Taylor, Hamilton and Wade stood out as the top performers’ yet one name was indeed over shadowed.
Adrian Lewis had a series of unfortunate events during the entire League which caused him the title. This man is considered as the best after Phil “The Power” Taylor and was thought to be in the final against him.
Lewis started off strong. His play was bold and aggressive. He defeated almost every opponent in the early rounds yet lacked one crucial ingredient for perfection, consistency.
For a man who is known world over for his amazing blind 180’s, unbelievable come-backs and a record that is worth a sight, to not reach the semi-finals was indeed painful for the fans.
His play during the League gave a very confused and shaky image of the former World number one. His early games saw victory yet no one was sure of his consistency during the League.
“The Jackpot” gave a punch to the critics by doing the unthinkable during the eleventh week of the McCoy’s Premier League.
Lewis defeated the greatest darts player ever to have lived. Taylor was beaten with amazing precision and confidence. It was the biggest up-set in the entire League.
As the world mourned the defeat of Phil Taylor, Lewis celebrated his win. He seemed invincible and out of nowhere, became the strongest candidate to win the McCoy’s Premier League.
Who could have imagined that an Australian under-dog named Simon Whitlock would throw “The Jackpot” out of the League fair and square?
Imagination turned into reality as “The Wizard” snatched victory against Lewis and ended his dream of winning the title.
Taylor and Whitlock battled it out in the final and it was “The Power” who over powered “The Wizard” and took home all the glory along with a trophy.
The upcoming U.K Open is an important event for Lewis as his name and game, both are at stake as Whitlock is looking dangerous day by day and has already become a major threat to experienced players all over.
Adrian Lewis is starstruck and is lost in his fame. It is a necessity that he turns over the page of fame and focuses on his game. Until then, the world awaits Lewis to hit the jackpot once again.
